Faculty and Staff International Travel Process

All Faculty & Staff Are Required To Have Appropriate Approval To Travel Internationally

Make sure to check the level of risk through the link above and fill out the appropriate form(s).

Level 1 & 2 Risk

The Following Form Must Be Filled Out

1. Fill out appropiate travel authorization form: (all approved forms should be forwarded to sitras from the final approver or disignee)

  • CASE
  • CEC
  • Kummer College
  • Non-Academic Department or College (fill out your departmental travel authorization form)

2. Submit approved form to sitras@mst.edu 30 days prior to planned travel.

Level 3 & 4 Risk

The Following Forms Must Be Filled Out

1. Fill out appropiate travel authorization form: (all approved forms should be forwarded to sitras from the final approver or disignee)

    • CASE
    • CEC
    • Kummer College
    • Non-Academic Department or College (fill out your departmental travel authorization form)

2. Fill out the SITRAS elevated international travel risk assessment form:

Both forms and supporting documents must be submitted to sitras@mst.edu 60 days prior to planned travel. (please attach all forms & documents in one email)

The SITRAS committee will review the elevated risk for recommendation to be approved by the provost. You will be notified asap.

Register Travel!

You are required to register your international travel!

Level 1 & 2 Risk - You will receive instructions from "sitras" on how to register your travel on the S&T Travel Registry platform after your approved international travel form is received.

Level 3 & 4 Risk - You will receive instructions along with a signed copy of your forms from "sitras" on how to register your travel on the S&T Travel Registry platform after the following steps have been completed.

  1. When your approved departmental international travel form is received.
  2. When the provost has approved your travel.

*Failure to register your international travel could result in reversal of approval to travel and being ineligible for travel reimbursement.
